By the time Dr Samantha Pillay finished her surgical training in 2001, only 4% of surgeons in Australia were female. Twenty years later, this had grown to 14%. Her drive to inspire young girls to break down barriers and challenge career gender stereotypes led to the International Amazon Best-Selling children's picture book series.
